All Saints Sunday

Wednesday, November 1st is not only the day we turn the page in our calendars from October to November, it’s also the day Christians observe as All Saints Day, a day we pause to remember those people in our lives who have pointed the way to God for us and are now with our Lord, our saints.

Sunday, November 5th is the day we will observe All Saints Day here at Park Avenue, as we will again take a moment in worship to invite folks to light a candle and display the collection of names of those those who we count among the saints.  We displayed the names of our saints for the first time last year and it was a powerful way of giving thanks for those through whom God loved us into being.

To participate, you simply need to provide us the name—we’ll do the rest. You can send names by email to, print names on a yellow prayer card and drop it in the offering plate on a Sunday morning, or share names in a message with us here on Facebook.
