Worship at Park

What to expect

After attending a worship service at Park, chances are your life will not be the same – or at least your day. Surrounded by a community of welcoming people who don’t all look the same, expect about 90 minutes of energetic, life-giving music and worship. Every Sunday, you’ll hear the sound of drums, piano, guitar, and the lively voices of our Gospel Choir and Praise Team. You can also count on inspired, thought-provoking, relevant, and sometimes humorous preaching that will lift your spirit.

Children and youth? Yes! We love kids! You can expect age-appropriate programming for them. Kids who are crawlers through four years old will be well-taken care of in our early childhood room, open before and during the service. Of course, all kids are welcome in the service, too. For specific information about families with children and youth, see below.

And stick around following the service for coffee, tea, and snacky goodness to meet some friendly folks.

We are located in a residential, urban neighborhood just south of downtown Minneapolis, on the corner of 34th and Park Avenue. Park in our lot or enjoy plenty of free street parking around the church.

We’d love to see you at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings dressed however you feel comfortable. We tend to dress pretty casual.

Can’t wait to see you!

Helpful information for attending on Sunday mornings

Families with children four years old through 5th grade
With the exception of the first Sunday of the month, Children’s Church will be dismissed midway through the service. Parents are welcome to accompany their child down to the Children’s Village on the lower level. Pick them up immediately following the service. For more information about Children’s Church, contact our Children’s Pastor, Rev. Annie Taylor at anntaylor@parkavechurch.org.

Families with children, crawlers through four years old
The Early Childhood room is open during worship. The room is located on the Main Level, across the hall from the sanctuary (behind the glass wall in the area also used by Joyce Preschool). For more information about early childhood programs, contact our Early Childhood Coordinator at earlychildhood@parkavechurch.org.

Families with youth
With the exception of the first Sunday of the month, youth begin in the sanctuary and are dismissed during the service to attend youth service in the Youth Room on the upper level. For more information about Youth Worship, email youth@parkavechurch.org.

Parking
The church parking lot is located on the corner of 34th and Park, and street parking is available. Note, wherever you see stanchions along 34th street, that is a no parking zone. The city has designated that area for bike lanes as part of a city-wide pedestrian safety initiative.

Additional parking is located just three short blocks away at 34th and Chicago. Look for the Wilder Complex Parking sign.
