All kinds of things are happening at Park! And it feels good.
For instance, we are calling all students, teachers, and all who work or volunteer in schools to Park on Sunday! We want to bless and encourage YOU!
For sure, it’s been a rough season for students, teachers, and schools. So, this Sunday during worship (September 18th), we’ll be doing a little something to express our support by offering a Backpack Blessing for all students (pre-k — college) and all adults who work in the schools!
Children and youth can bring their backpacks, and the congregation will speak a blessing over them. And we’ll send you home with a backpack tag to use this year! Teachers, we’ll ask you to stand, and the children and youth will speak a blessing over you for your year.
If you know a student or adult who works in a school, invite them to come or, better, invite them to join you this Sunday.
And one more thing. Have you marked your calendar for Sunday, September 25?
We have some special things planned for our welcome back Rally Sunday and Parking Lot Party following worship. You won’t want to miss it. I have it on good authority that we’ll have a couple of huge bouncy things set up for the kids (and adults?), and our very own Chris Benner will break out his DJ skills. This is going to be fun!
Park will provide the meats and drinks. If you have a dish or dessert you’d like to share, bring it!
And if you’d like to help out, check out all the ways you can serve at our Parking Lot Party Volunteer Sign-Up Page. Just click here.
Looking forward to seeing you in worship this Sunday. If you’ve been watching online, we’d love to see you in person!
