As I mentioned last week, we’re celebrating Christmas at Park! It was wonderful to see so many at the Christmas Concert last Sunday. The music, the vibrancy, the worship — wow! Amazing! I left thinking, “Yes, I believe I will have more of that, please!”
This Sunday, December 17, make sure to join us for worship at 10 a.m. for our children’s Christmas pageant. Hear the story of Christ’s birth again from the voices of our Park Avenue kids. It’s a beautiful thing when we let the children come and lead us — I think Jesus said something about that, right?
Later in the day at 5 p.m., we’re doing something new and special called Blue Christmas in the sanctuary. Christmas can be tough for those of us who have experienced loss. The Blue Christmas service is designed to be a safe space to acknowledge the mixed emotions of the season and to root us in the hope of God with us. If you would like more information about this service, email our Care Minister, Erin Brekke.
And just a reminder: Since Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, I hope you’ll join us for Park’s Christmas Eve Candles and Carols service at our regular worship time at 10 a.m.
Much love,
Pastor Gregg
