Food for the Neighborhood

Park Avenue Church and Iglesia Piedra Viva, in partnership with Simpson Food Shelf, will be holding a free food distribution event at Park Avenue UMC (3400 Park Ave S, Mpls). This is an important ministry and witness of caring to the people of our neighborhood.

How can you help?

First, we need volunteers to assist in several ways.

• Wednesday, 4/21, 6:30-7:30 p.m. to sort accumulated donations
• Friday, 4/23  to help set up, stock tables for distribution, greet guests, carry boxes to cars, and clean up.

The second way you can help is by spreading the word. Those who may need this assistance will only come if they know about it.

All are welcome. Distribution will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, April 23rd. There will be both food and non-food items such as household cleaning and paper supplies.

Prayer partners, the Volunteer Lawyers Network, and Minneapolis Health Department (vaccine sign-ups will also be present at this event).
