Someone once shared with me that gratitude becomes even more powerful when it’s specific. A simple “thank you” is good, but when you name what you’re grateful for and why it matters, your appreciation becomes personal, tangible, and impactful. It shows that you see and value the other person, and it deepens the connection.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I want to take this moment to express my gratitude for you—specifically you, Park Avenue Church.
Thank you for embodying God’s welcoming and embracing love.
You show what it means to be a community that genuinely values each person who walks through our doors. I’m so grateful to belong to a congregation where this kind of love matters deeply.
Thank you for your servant hearts.
Week in and week out, countless acts of service happen behind the scenes—often unnoticed. Whether volunteering time within our walls or showing up for someone in need beyond them, you consistently pour out your gifts to strengthen our church, enrich lives, and extend care where it’s most needed. You are Jesus’ hands, feet, and heart.
Thank you for ensuring Park Avenue Church is a vital part of our neighborhood and city.
Through your generosity, our church provides space and support for organizations that are making a real difference in the lives of others. By offering our facilities at reduced or no cost, we empower community groups to serve families, provide education, meet health needs, support youth, and advocate for justice. These partnerships extend our ministry far beyond our walls, and it’s all possible because of your faithfulness.
I think of the poet Hafiz, who said, “Stay close to anything that makes you glad you are alive.” For me, that’s you. I’m grateful God has given me the joy of walking alongside you in this journey of faith, hope, and love.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Pastor Gregg
