Two things I want to draw to your attention this week.
First, what are you doing on Saturday morning? It looks like Saturday promises to be a Chamber of Commerce day here in the Twin Cities. At least, that’s what the weather people are saying. Sunny and 72!
Why not come to Park from 9 to noon, spend some time outside, hang out with some great folks, and lend a hand in sprucing the place up? Word is we’ll be doing some general clean-up and mulching, among other things. I usually just stand around and talk to people. You could do that with me if you want. Oh, I almost forgot–there will be snacks! So, if you’re looking for a simple way to get to know some folks at Park, this may be what you’re looking for.
Second, how are you with names and faces at Park? As I’ve said many times, I’m a big fan of learning names and hearing stories. I just think it’s an important part of connecting in community–knowing each other and being known. As part of our strategic priority of welcome and belonging at Park, we’re setting up a secure online directory so we all can put those names and faces together and continue to learn each others’ stories. So, I’d love for you to participate.
By now you should have received an email with a link to your own contact page. If you didn’t receive it (or if it landed unbeknownst to you in your junk folder–happens to me a lot), just contact Arlette Hepp. She’ll be glad to get you linked up. And just so you know, you are in charge of the information others can see in the directory. You only show what you want to show, but it would be great to upload a picture of yourself. No perfection required. Just look at my directory pic. Hat tip to Daryl Boudreaux for the tasty turkey leg!
Much love,
Pastor Gregg
