Something You’ll Want to Hear

By October 6, 2022No Comments

As you may know, we have a lineup of Wednesday evening seminars this Fall at Park from 6:30 – 8 p.m. But did you know that you can come at 6 p.m. for a soup supper in the dining room? And if you’d like to add a pot of your favorite soup to the mix, bring it along.

If you scroll down in this newsletter, you’ll see the dates and descriptions for each of the seminars, but I want to highlight one coming up on October 26: An Evening with Esther Myers.

A gifted pastor and musician, one day Esther was preaching about surviving genocide at a local church in her home country of Rwanda. Authorities arrested her for speaking about it. She was tried, convicted, and received a ten-year sentence. Because of her joyful spirit and love for other prisoners, she was soon seen as a leader among other incarcerated church leaders and was given the name “Mama Pastor.” Esther was finally released on December 14, 2021.

Mark your calendar for October 26 at 6:30 to hear Esther’s remarkable story, the lessons she has learned, and her message to the church. Her story is something you’ll want to hear. You can help us plan for space by registering here. Oh, and join us for a soup supper at 6 p.m.

Looking forward to seeing you in worship on Sunday. If you’ve been watching online, come feel the Park vibe in person!

Breathe love, my friends!
