#1 New Minister of Congregational Care
I’m thrilled to let you know that we have a new Minister of Congregational Care. Erin Brekke will join our staff on October 3, but you will have an opportunity to meet her personally this Sunday. Erin comes to us after serving faithfully in an urban, multicultural church in North Minneapolis. She says that she believes it a sacred honor to walk alongside people during seasons of loss, crisis, and transition, and hopes to create spaces where questions are welcome and people feel safe to be their authentic selves (a fuller description of Erin is in our weekly newsletter).
A big thank you to the search and interview team for the hard work and hours they put into the process that led us to Erin: Diana Roney, Patti Moreen, Sara Schulz, and Carla Urban. Let’s give Erin a big welcome to Park. Feel free to send her a welcome email at erinbrekke@parkavechurch.org.

#3 Don’t miss Rally Sunday THIS SUNDAY!!
If it’s been a while since you’ve been to Park, or you’ve been thinking about coming and wondering about the right time, this coming Sunday could be that time! We have some special things planned for our welcome back Rally Sunday. Come a bit early to enjoy the sounds of Brass Solidarity! You won’t want to miss it.
And stay for our Parking Lot Party following worship. Good food, fun, and you can meet some really good folks! I have it on good authority that we’ll have a couple of huge bouncy things set up for the kids (and adults?), and our very own Chris Benner will break out his DJ skills. This is going to be fun! Park will provide the meats and drinks. If you have a dish or dessert you’d like to share, bring it!
