If you’ve been thinking about when to visit Park, let me tell you: this Sunday is the day! Two of my favorite things are happening, and I’d love for you to be part of them.
First, Sunday morning
During the sermon time, our kids will lead us in their Christmas pageant! They’ve been rehearsing with excitement and are ready to tell the story of Jesus in their unique and wonderful way. Isn’t there something special about hearing the story again in the voices of children? Perhaps that’s why Isaiah reminds us of God’s dream for the world like this:
“The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the young goat; the calf and the young lion will feed together, and a little child will lead them.”
So come and let Park Avenue’s kids lead you into the beauty and wonder of this season!
Second, Sunday at 4 p.m.
Our Gospel Choir will host the Park Avenue Christmas Concert! This is one of my favorite annual traditions. Under the incredible direction of Sherri Orr and Martial Besombes, our choir has been hard at work preparing a rousing celebration of Gospel Christmas music. There will also be special guests and our very own “Little Drummers” to bring extra joy to the day.
Invite your friends and family to celebrate Christmas at Park—it’s a wonderful opportunity to share the joy of the season. Pro tip: arrive early to make sure you get a seat!
One last note
Thank you to everyone who participated in our estimated giving campaign for 2025! Your generosity and commitment are inspiring. Together, we’ve reached 76% of our goal—$581,400 of $765,000.
If you haven’t yet taken the step to estimate your giving, this is a great time to join in and help us get closer to 100%. Every step we take together makes a difference! You can use this link to get started.
Looking forward to seeing you this Sunday!
Much love,
Pastor Gregg
