We’ve got something to celebrate! Since October, elementary attendance has blossomed to 20+ kids each Sunday for children’s church! That’s a huge increase in kids and families at Park!
So now our children’s minister, Annie Taylor, tells me it’s time to move into small groups to more effectively give each child the attention and teaching and fun they need. And that means we need more adults and teenagers who are ready to spend time with our elementary kiddos on Sunday mornings. What’s the commitment? We’re looking for folks who would be willing to give one Sunday a month through the month of May. All the curriculum and supplies are provided. All you need to bring is fun, love, and attention. Don’t wait. Our kids need you!
If you’re interested in making a difference in the lives of our children (and their families), email Annie at anntaylor@parkavechurch.org.
And on a more personal note, let me give you an update on my wife, Amy. You may know that Amy took a nasty fall on the ice, ruptured her patellar tendon, and dislocated a kneecap. Really painful. Long story short, she had surgery on Tuesday to repair the damage and is at home recuperating. But a long journey ahead. She won’t be able to put any weight on the leg for a while and will be on crutches for about six weeks. I’m sure it will take months before she returns to full strength.
Although I’ve not been able to return all the calls, texts, and emails of checking in and support, please know how grateful we are for all the undergirding prayerful strength, compassion, and care you are giving to our family. It means a lot to us.
Much love to you, my friends,
Pastor Gregg
