Weekly Word with Pastor Gregg

It’s only a breath away

Just a thought today from a random encounter with a cashier. “Hey man, I like your sweatshirt!” he says, pointing out the Breathe Love hoodie I was wearing.

“I try to live my life that way. I try to breathe love. Sometimes, though, I catch myself not doing it. I start breathing a lot of other stuff, and it ain’t so much love. You know what I mean? But then I remember, it’s only a breath away.”

Indeed. It’s only a breath away.

Thank you, random stranger at the checkout counter, for reminding me of what I forget.

Exciting news for families with crawlers and toddlers!

Due to the pandemic, many of our members’ children under 4 have not been to church in over two years. And we’re excited to welcome back our little ones!

Starting Sunday, April 3, the Early Childhood room will re-open during worship. The room is located on the Main Level, across the hall from the sanctuary (behind the glass wall in the area also used by Joyce Preschool).

And If you’d like to share in blessing other families, please consider volunteering to staff the room once a month. We’ll provide you with brief training. You can sign up here. Contact Carla Urban (cjdurban@gmail.com) with any questions or stop by the table in the hallway after church on Sunday.

Looking forward to seeing you Sunday for worship, either in person or online. If you’re joining us online, go to the online worship page at 10 AM CST.

Breathe Love,

Pastor Gregg
